Celeste's Room Walkthrough
Acquiring Celeste's Key
First, port to the Hall of Termination. From the fast travel room, head to the upper area where you'll find a platform in the middle. Jump on the platform and strike the ceiling with your weapon to reveal a hidden path. Once you've destroyed the breakable ceiling, head inside where you'll find Celeste's Key inside the middle chest.
Finding Celeste's Room
Celeste's room can be found near the save room that is located on the top east side of the map of Livre Ex Machina. The easiest way to get there is by taking the path from the Hall of Termination and back to Livre Ex Machina. Once you find the door, use the key to enter Celeste's Room.
Inside her room, you'll find a series of music boxes that you can interact with, a portrait of a cat, and a chair for you to sit on. Sit on the chair and wait for a brief moment, a phantom will then appear sitting on the other chair.

Trivia & Notes:
Same as SOTN confession room, where Alucard can sit on a chair where a Spirit of a priest or a crying woman will appear.

I maintain there is a correct way to open the music boxes at an exact correct timing for some kind of secret.
The amount of possible ways to do this are astronomical and we may never get an answer....

I opened all the music boxes at the same time, I now suffer from ear cancer.

love it. In a huge old castle there has to be a mystery of two...

Was honestly expecting to have another optional boss, like in the Carpenter's Room, the Millionaire's Room and the Warhorse's Room. But just having a peaceful room to sit down, relax, listen to some music boxes and talk to a ghost in was nice.
I wish the area music would stop once you activated one of the music boxes, but that's only a minor gripe.
Would not recommend activating all of the music boxes at once though, because I tried it and it sounds like anxiety.

I sat and listened to music boxes with this goddam ghost for at least 15 minutes.
All for nothing...
...though, music was ok.

Kind of seems like a little hats off to castlevania Sotn room where you find a confessional and a ghost shows up on the either side if you sit down in the chair. But then again alot of the actual gameplay and enemies as well as movesets and certain spells are ALL little hat tilts to castlevania symphony of the night literally in the title of the game

Maybe a reference to the indie game Celest, where she dealt with her inner demons?

I think I finally understand now...this is Igarashi trolling us, knowing we'd all over think the room lol. Kinda like how miyazaki trolled everybody on dark souls with that damn pendent.
